Why is the old
police pickup with
Public Works?
Because the City took it out of police service and gave it to the Public Works crew. In a Sept. 30 notice, the City said the black Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has been decommissioned from the Reeds Spring Police Department, stripped of all police equipment, markings and decals, and assigned to Public Works for its daily work.
“RSPD vehicle decommission update”
The City posted the notice after residents asked why the truck was being seen with Public Works. It says the truck was donated to the City, is now owned and used by the City, and is no longer a police vehicle.
